I have surrounded myself with art and culture throughout my life, satisfying my curiosity through travel and education. In my professional life, I have supported world-class design. In retrospect, this has been about feeding my creativity.
I have always loved textiles and have been a maker all my life. An opportunity to sit down at a floor loom in 2019 started this journey into everything handwoven. The process of planning, designing, and setting up the loom is just as enjoyable as the weaving - but not quite as satisfying as sharing my new passion and the things I create.
Like many weavers, I have multiple looms; a 54” 4-shaft cherry Norwood loom (dating back to 1978) - great for tea towels, a 4-shaft Saori loom for my wallhangings, and an 8-shaft Louet David loom for my more complicated weave structures.
I love commissions - designing and weaving wall hangings, scarves, and tea towels specifically for you.
When I am not in my weaving studio, you might find me on a dance floor with my husband, puttering in my garden, or walking the dog in my neighborhood in SW Portland.
